Bluum Adds New Solutions for Esports, STEAM Curricula, School Security

Ed tech company Bluum has introduced customizable kits with five new solutions for K–12 and higher education, it announced at its recent Impact 2024 conference.

The solutions are designed to improve enrollment, school safety, and curriculum, and Bluum has chosen products in each category to help schools and universities meet various goals, the company said in a release. It also offers services to help institutions get up and running with new ed tech.

The five new solutions are:

  • Esports: Based on growing student interest in gaming, this solution pairs play with learning to increase student engagement and enrollment, the company said.
  • School safety: This comprehensive solution of cyber and physical security measures aims to help create a safer school environment. Included in the package are surveillance products and controlled access systems to protect staff and students. Data and privacy protection is also available.
  • Primary school curriculum packages: Varied, tailored choices offer STEAM tool integration and hands-on education for young students to help build curiosity and critical thinking.
  • Intermediate school curriculum choices: These options allow educators to create interactive and dynamic training in digital skills to keep students abreast of the latest trends.
  • Higher education curriculum packages: Integrative solutions help colleges and universities combine hybrid and collaborative learning to customize education based on student needs.

The company said its support services include customized configuration, manufacturer warranties, strategic planning, funding advice, and professional development coaching.

"We know that your teachers, your students, and your community are unique, and that even if you share common challenges with other educators, the solutions to those problems are unique," said Emily Cook, Bluum's vice president of educational services. "That's why Bluum is committed to listening, learning, and collaborating with each partner to assess their particular needs and goals, then plan and implement a solution designed for success as they've defined it."
