Scribbles Software Announces K–12 Document Management System Updates

Document management company Scribbles Software has rolled out improvements to its ScribOnline platform to make records handling easier for K–12 school systems.

ScribOnline maintains permanent student, human resources, finance, and other records in the cloud so they can be accessed from anywhere at any time. The updates involve enhancements to scanning, uploading, searching, and updating documents.

The company said updates to the following services include:

  • ScribCapture: A new lead sheet printing capability simplifies mass scanning and makes uploading automatic, saving the time and labor of sorting through individual paper files;
  • Management: New tools for insertion, deletion, redacting, and notating document information in the cloud have been added;
  • Search function: Several customizable index values have been added to identify precise individual records, especially those with same or similar names. Indexes can also be limited by document type.

"Transitioning paper and PDF documents to a secure online system can be tedious for school districts of any size, and it's even more overwhelming when they need to convert decades worth of staff or alumni records to the cloud," said Misty Reinhardt, Scribbles Software director of product management. "ScribOnline solves this challenge for schools, and our latest updates make this process even easier and include new features that records management staff will love."
