Partnership Brings AI Teaching Assistant to SchoolsPLP Course Library

SchoolsPLP, a provider of PreK-12 digital curriculum and learning solutions, has partnered with Agilix Labs to integrate the latter's BusyBee AI teaching assistant into its K-12 course library. The collaboration aims to bring practical AI applications to everyday classroom experiences, the companies said in a news announcement.

Built on Amazon Bedrock, BusyBee uses machine learning algorithms and natural language processing to analyze student work and provide instant feedback that teachers can utilize in grading assignments. A traditional five-minute grading task can become a 60-second interaction, according to early company testing, enabling teachers to give thorough, personalized feedback on five times more assignments. For the integration, SchoolsPLP is participating in an Amazon Web Services program to pilot the technology.

Current SchoolsPLP users can activate BusyBee features through their existing Buzz platform.

"What excites me most about BusyBee is how it empowers both sides of the classroom," said BJ Dines, founder and CEO of SchoolsPLP, in a statement. "Teachers get time back for meaningful instruction, while students gain real experience with AI technology. By integrating predictive grading, we're enhancing student engagement and nurturing an effective learning environment that equips students for success in their future careers."
