Providing Video On Demand

VideoClick, Pulse Digital's cross-platform video-on-demand system, gives educational institutions the ability to consolidate video libraries to allow students, teachers and administrators to use video in different ways. Media can be linked to other information in order to create a centralized knowledge base that can be quickly accessed for teaching, research and study purposes. This can save time for educators and students alike. They can also make more effective use of video in the classroom. For instance, the system provides instant access to video that can be added into PowerPoint presentations.

Additionally, VideoClick enables course lectures, conferences and other learning material to be distributed to hundreds of concurrent viewers, located in virtual classrooms both on campus and at home. High quality (MPEG2) video streaming can occur over LAN or VPN networks, or alternatively via IP connections utilizing VideoClick's RealNetwork support, or with the VideoClick Personal Plus for users with low bandwidth access. For conference viewing, workstations can be positioned in various locations, as required. Pulse Digital, New York, NY, (212) 490-9730, www.pulsedigital.com.
