EPSON presents the PowerLite 826W, part of its new line of projectors. A number of features make the projector ideal for classroom use: a built-in microphone input and closed-captioning decoder to help teachers present to the entire class; convenient connectivity options that allow for no-hassle displays of images through USB connections and a school’s IT network; and an extended lamp life of up to 6,000 hours, meaning less lamp replacements to worry about. Picture quality is superior, as the device was built to produce bright, brilliant widescreen images, with 2,500 lumens output for both color and white light, and WXGA 16:10 resolution. Price: $839 through Epson’s Brighter Futures program.
