Online Students Receive Complimentary Tutoring from Tutor.com

The students at Keystone National High School, an online high school hosted by KC Distance Learning, will be receiving 75 minutes of free online tutoring from Tutor.com, an online tutoring company, for the 2007-2008 academic year. Tutor.com allows students to log in for "on demand" tutoring between the hours of 2 p.m. and 1 p.m. Eastern.

"We are excited to enhance the learning experience for our students and offer them an additional resource to excel in Keystone's academic environment," said Steve Brown, CEO of KC Distance Learning, in a prepared statement.

Students using the service are connected to a live tutors using an instant messaging feature and interactive whiteboard to help users with subjects and problems they are having difficulty with, according to Tutor.com. The website offers help in Math, English, Social Studies/History, and Science. Tutor.com is also designed for tutors and students to use a shared Web browsing feature and file sharing.

Keystone High School enrolls students from around the country and internationally and currently serves about 5,000 students.
