Wireless LAN Product Line Is Upgraded

The BreezeNET PRO Series, from BreezeCOM, enhances and replaces the companyís BreezeNET wireless LAN product line. A new wireless PC Card with an integrated antenna design has also been added.

The PRO Series includes: BreezeNET AP-10 PRO Access Point, SA-10 PRO Station Adapter (one port), SA-40 PRO Station Adapter (four ports), WB-10 PRO Bridge, and the SA-PC PRO PC Card Adapter. All products are designed for compatibility with the IEEE 802.11 Draft Wireless LAN Standard.

The BreezeNET PRO access point, bridge and station adapters all use FLASH memory for operating system software. All products in the series employ frequency-hopping, spread-spectrum radio technology and operate in the license-free 2.4GHz ISM band, enabling virtually any type of computer to be connected reliably to a network in minutes.

Enhancements across the board include a net data rate of 1.65Mbps for station adapters and the bridge, improved roaming capability, improved automatic data rate fallback, and SNMP network management to the station level and improved configuration features.
