Late Breaks - Digital Diplomacy Award

The US State Department is sponsoring the new Digital Diplomacy Award for this year’s ThinkQuest 2000 Internet Challenge. The award will be presented to a team entered in the Social Sciences category of the ThinkQuest challenge, a contest that brings students and educators together to build educational Web sites on varied topics. Each student winner of the Digital Diplomacy Award will receive a $2,000 scholarship, and the winning coaches will receive $500. The winners will also be treated to a trip to Washington DC, a private tour of State Department facilities, a meeting with key officials, and an award ceremony.
