Big Agreements Provide Online Learning Opportunities

bigchalk.com and Apex Learning, Inc. have agreed to allow bigchalk customers to register for Apex Learning's academic credit-eligible professional development workshops directly from bigchalk.com. Workshop subjects include standards, teaching methods, classroom management, assessment, technology, special needs, math and language arts. These workshops are self-paced, 10- to 15-hour courses that are moderated by subject-area experts. The online courses can be delivered to groups of educators, such as all members of an English department, to facilitate incorporation of materials throughout a school or district.

In addition, NTS/Brainium announced that bigchalk will offer Science Brainium to the education community. Science Brainium is an interactive online science resource for teachers and students in grades 3 to 8. Through science games, experiments, animation adventures and science news, Science Brainium engages and challenges students with interactive multimedia activities that meet more than 90% of the National Science Education Standards. bigchalk.com, Ann Arbor, MI, (800) 209-1132, www.bigchalk.com.
