Partnership Offers Hosted E-Procurement Solutions

Simplexis and IBM have teamed to offer an inexpensive way for school districts to cut administrative costs. By using IBM's implementation and integration services in conjunction with Simplexis' e-procurement software, school districts with limited IT resources can effectively manage the purchasing process and integrate it with back-end financial systems.

The agreement calls for IBM and Simplexis to leverage their K-12 industry knowledge, products and services to dramatically reduce the overall processing costs of requisitioning purchase orders and workflow approval. School districts can also increase buying power through aggregate purchasing and by purchasing in conjunction with state and existing contracts. The system has been customized specifically for school districts. Simplexis, San Francisco, CA, (415) 354-2100, www.simplexis.com.
