T.H.E. Institute and Texas Computer Education Association

T.H.E. Institute, a division of T.H.E. Journal, L.L.C. and the Texas Computer Education Association (TCEA), a not-for-profit organization, have announced two initiatives to enhance the technology and teaching skills of Texas educators. As part of their partnership, T.H.E. Institute will provide its online professional development courses to TCEA members at a reduced rate. In addition, T.H.E. will provide its conference planner service to TCEA. This service has been used by the Florida Educational Technology Conference (FETC) for the past two years, and is being used by the National Education Computer Conference (NECC) this year.

T.H.E. Institute’s online professional development courses help educators become comfortable with technology tools, and show effective ways to integrate technology into the classroom. There are three types of courses: Tutorial Basic Skills Courses, Moderated Professional Development Courses, and Graduate Courses. Each course tier differs in the level of interaction, moderation and course length. T.H.E. Institute, Tustin, CA, (800) 840-0003, www.thejournal.com/institute.
