IBM's NetVista A Series

With IBM's NetVista A Series, educators get a range of desktop systems to choose from. The NetVista A Series aims to deliver both power and performance in a sleek, but practical design without breaking the bank. Like most desktop systems these days, the NetVista A Series comes with Intel processors with speeds up to 2.0 GHz, SDRAM memory that can be expanded to 3.0 GB (varying by model) and hard drives that can be upgraded to 80 GB. Video graphics for series models range from Intel 3-D graphics with Direct AGP to a 4X AGP slot, and 16, 32 and 64 MB cards. All models come with an Intel 10/100 Ethernet with Wake on LAN and several front and rear ports. With NetVista, educators can also take advantage of a host of optional multimedia features, including expansive video card options and a speaker system with a subwoofer. They can also choose from a wide range of compatible monitors, including power-saving high resolution flat panel displays that deliver bright, crisp images in addition to standard CRTs.
