Bonham ISD Chooses DeepNines iTrust for 'Net Security

Bonham Independent School District in Texas has chosen iTrust software from DeepNines Technologies to manage Internet threats security. The district serves 2,000 students in six K-12 schools.
The Internet and its resources are available to Bonham ISD students through the district's networked computers. In order to ensure that access was being used according to the district's rules, Bonham administrators began searching for a solution that would allow them to manage the types of content and applications students could access online. In addition, administrators at Bonham wanted to ensure that they were complying with federal standards such as the Children's Internet Protection Act (CIPA).
"With the help of DeepNines and the installation of iTrust, we know that we are staying ahead of security threats," said Bret Simpson, director of technology. "We are now certain that students are reaching only the good, educational content and applications available to them vs. the materials that we have deemed inappropriate."
iTrust provides Web proxy blocking, granular traffic inspection, behavior-based control, network visibility, centralized content policy management, and educational compliance and reporting.
The software is in use at John Paul II High School in Plano, TX; Clarkston Community Schools in Michigan; and Consolidated High School District 230 in Illinois.
