Calgary Board of Education Deploys Sonitrol Access Control

##AUTHORSPLIT##<--->

The Calgary Board of Education recently announced it will deploy a Sielox access control system in 72 of the district's more than 220 K-12 schools.

The contract for the installation has been awarded to Sonitrol of Southern Alberta, which began installing the system in early July 2008. According to the company, the installation will continue through October of this year, with three one-year options being issued to the company for the eventual completion of the entire district.

According to the announcement, the Pinnacle/Sielox access control system is intended to enhance student and faculty safety and provide a secure registration process that begins with initial badging and continues through the remainder of the access control process.
