IN School Awarded Classroom Voice Amplification Systems
Lawrence Central High School (LCHS) in Indianapolis, IN received voice amplification systems for 36 classrooms as part of the Be Heard School Grant.
The grant, a joint effort between ESCO Communications and Calypso Systems, provided LCHS with WCM-RF Classroom Voice Amplification systems and installation. The systems use an amplifier, a base station, microphones and 6.5 inch speakers to increase the voice of the user.
"Using the voice amplification system in my classroom makes it easier for students to understand me while I am teaching," said Pam Fischer, a teacher at LCHS, in a prepared statement. "I've already noticed increased attention and participation in my classes, and many of the students get excited to use the microphone for presentations. "
Lawrence Central High School is part of the Metropolitan School District of Lawrence Township. It serves about 200 students in grades 9 through 12.
