10-Tablet Recharge Cart Suited for Special Ed Classrooms

VisualEdTech's TekCab-10 holds 10 tablets and is available in 19 colors.

A company that distributes multiple brands of laptop carts has come out with one for charging and storing Apple iPads, intended specifically for small classrooms. The TekCab-10 (TK-10) from VisualEdTech holds 10 iPads or other tablets or e-readers. It's priced at $479.

The company said its newest offering was especially well suited for special education classrooms, where iPads are in use to help kids with non-verbal and fine motor deficit challenges. These classrooms frequently have no more than 10 students. The new cart saves space and energy compared to standard charging carts designed to hold 30 or more iPads.

The company offers the same cart with the capacity for 16 tablets ($539) or 20 tablets. ($649). All are available in 19 color options.
