eBeam Edge Adds Wireless Connectivity

Luidia has released eBeam Edge Wireless, the newest version of its eBeam Edge interactive platform, with plug-and-play wireless connectivity.

Compatible with any projector or eBeam's Capture Pack, eBeam Edge Wireless is designed to turn most flat surfaces, such as a traditional whiteboard, into an interactive workspace.

Features of eBeam Edge Wireless include:

  • The ability to create workspaces between 17" x 11" and 9' x 5';
  • "Education Suite" software package with material designed for classroom use;
  • The ability to annotate Web pages, resize images, or draw in color;
  • Compatibility with Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems;
  • Ultrasound and infrared tracking; and
An interactive pen with 50 hours of battery life.

"We worked hard to remove all setup barriers from the product, making it even easier for users to install their own interactive whiteboard systems," said Bryan Duggan, hardware product manager for Luidia, ina prepared statement. "Simply plugging in the eBeam wireless adapter allows users to place their computer just about anywhere, enabling them to present and collaborate with others wherever they happen to be."
