Pennsylvania District Saves $50,000 Annually with E-Payments

Pennsylvania's Downingtown Area School District has adopted an electronic payment system in an effort to streamline processes and reduce costs. So far, the district is on track to save more than $50,000 a year as a result of the implementation.

"Going paperless was a priority, and we wanted to find a solution that would allow us to pay all suppliers electronically, streamline our process, be easy for our suppliers, and help us save money," said Mike DeAngelis, assistant director of finance for the district, in a prepared statement.
