NVIDIA Jetson Nano 2GB Developer Kit Teaches AI and Robotics

NVIDIA has launched its new Jetson Nano 2GB Developer Kit, a new system designed for “learning, building and teaching AI and robotics.”

The Linux-based system is built around a 128-core NVIDIA Maxwell GPU and a 1.43 GHz quad-core ARM A57 CPU. It offers 2 GB of 64-bit LPDDR4 (25.6 GB/s) memory and microSD-based storage.

Other features include:

  • 802.11ac wireless support;

  • Gigabit Ethernet connectivity;

  • MIPI CSI-2 camera connector;

  • Support for encoding and decoding 4k video (30p encoding and 60p decoding);

  • One USB 3.0 Type A port, two USB 2.0 Type A ports and one USB 2.0 Micro-B port;

  • HDMI port.

Tutorials and ready-to-build open source projects are already available for the platform.
