$40,000 STEM Grant Program Opens

Vernier Software & Technology will award $1,000 grants to 40 STEM educators in K–12 and higher education. The grant program is part of Vernier's 40th anniversary event.

The program will award $1,000 worth of Vernier hardware (of the winner's choosing), plus virtual professional development support and an annual license for Vernier Graphical Analysis Pro software. Vernier offers a wide range of scientific equipment, including sensors for data collection, interfaces, and lab equipment.

To be considered, applicants must describe "how they will implement the $1,000 worth of Vernier technology in their classroom or laboratory, their educational institution’s needs, and how the funding will enhance their instruction and engage students."

The program grant is open to all educators working at a K–12 school, college or university in the United States.

Also as part of its 40th anniversary, Vernier is offer a free ebook, Vernier Experiment Sampler, which offers 21 data-collection experiments. Some of those include: “Reflectivity of Light,” “Mapping a Magnetic Field,” “Enzyme Action,” and “Accelerations in the Real World.”
