Acer Showcases a Host of New Desktops and Laptops

At the CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2023, computer company Acer announced many new desktops, laptops, monitors, and other gear, several of which may be of interest to educational institutions for their capabilities.

The Aspire 5 laptop features 13th Generation Intel Core processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPUs for multi-tasking and content editing. It comes with up to 32 GB of DDR4 memory and up to a 1 TB M.2 SSD, the company said, “providing bloggers, photographers, and students with the essential tools to allow them to get things done.” Acer also announced the budget friendly Aspire 3 laptop, with Intel Core i3-N series processors, which focuses on ease of use.

Acer showcased Chromebox Add-In-One desktops: the Chromebox CXI5, Chromebox Enterprise CX15, and Add-in-One 24. The Chromebox CX15 and Enterprise CX15 run on up to 12th Gen Intel Core i7 processors, Intel vPro built for business, and up to four external displays. The company said the Acer Add-In-One 24 becomes an all-in-one desktop, consisting of either an Acer Chromebox CXI5 or Acer Chromebox Enterprise CXI5 docked to a 24-inch FHD monitor, which can be easily swapped for future upgrades and repairs.

According to the press release, “This solution is easy to set up, use, manage and upgrade – all while maximizing space in commercial and education settings, including classrooms, libraries, reception areas, offices and kiosks.” To see more of what solutions and products Acer offers for education applications, visit the education page.
