ParentSquare Launches Smart Sites, Acquires Gabbart Comm

School-home communications provider ParentSquare has acquired Gabbart Communications, the developer of the Harmony content management system and the Campus Life app for parent and community engagement.

The acquisition has resulted in an integrated school website solution called Smart Sites, launched yesterday by ParentSquare. Smart Sites offers content management that requires no coding or HTML skills and the ability to publish posts and alerts across multiple outlets, including email, social media, text, voice, apps, and web pages.

According to ParentSquare: "Smart Sites users can add information to ParentSquare and have the module automatically furnish the new information on their website and in social media posts and messages to families and community members, ensuring content consistency."

“We are always thinking about how we can deliver new ways to help build relationships between schools and families,” ParentSquare President and Founder Anupama Vaid said in a prepared statement. “We’ve seen a trend of districts wanting to engage with parents and the community on all platforms and channels. And we also saw the need for a combined solution that would enable efficient messaging across those myriad platforms and channels. This acquisition is our response. Gabbart Communications has deep expertise in school websites, branding, and a culture of creating community. We are excited to bring our two organizations together, creating the first fully integrated platform for communication to schools and districts nationwide.”

Further details can be found on ParentSquare's site.
