Whiteboard Costs Educators $500 Less

SMART Technologies announced a new education list price of $2,499 for its SMARTBoard interactive electronic whiteboard. This $500 discount off the regular SRP applies to all K-12 and post-secondary institutions, including technical and continuing education programs.

The SMARTBoard ships with a pen tray, four dry-erase markers, four colored styluses, one dry eraser, drivers (Mac or Windows), plus WriteBoard software, for saving and printing notes. By adding an LCD projector, an instructor can press on the whiteboard to control any software application or draw in electronic ink on top of projected computer images.

The firm also offers new education pricing on SMART Ideas, its unique concept-mapping software, and SMART 2000 Conferencing, award-winning data conferencing software for distance learning. Lab packs and site licenses are available. SMART Technologies, Calgary, AB, (888) 42-SMART, www.smarttech.com..
