Citrix Releases Portal Server; Offers Related Training Course

Citrix Systems recently released its Citrix NFuse Elite access portal server, which gives educators access to the information and applications they need to do their jobs quickly and cost-effectively. NFuse Elite gives users secure, point-and-click access to their own personalized set of applications and content, while administrators get the ease and convenience of centralized portal management.

The NFuse Elite server is suited for a wide range of deployments. It features a simple, wizard-driven installation as well as preconfigured roles, themes and templates. The product's XML-based architecture and support for industry standards-based integration mechanisms, such as Microsoft WebParts and Web Forms (a Microsoft .NET technology), gives customers and partners the ability to extend and scale NFuse Elite as organizational needs evolve and the number of users grows.

In addition, Citrix is now offering a new two-day training course called the Citrix NFuse Elite Administration. The course provides network, system, portal and Web administrators with hands-on experience in installing, configuring and managing the NFuse Elite access portal and portal components.
