Online Resource Heralded as "Educator's Best Friend"

Touted as the “educator’s best friend,” the Education World Web site (www.education-world.com) has resources that cover almost all areas of the educator’s career demands. With daily updates, Education World provides a rich source of information for teachers and administrators in the areas of curriculum and lesson planning, technology integration and professional development among many others. The “Administrator’s Desk” is a resource specifically for principals that features principal profiles, information on grants and upcoming conventions, and teacher assessment guides. This resource also features the “How I Handled...” link, which highlights how principals can handle student behavior problems, emergencies and other difficult situations. For teachers, the site offers an extensive lesson-planning area that showcases lessons on reading, special holidays, using calculators, and “5-minute fillers.” The technology integration page includes tutorials for technology applications, links to educational Web sites, templates and search engines. For teachers still looking for more resources, Education World also has a weekly newsletter, message boards and a resource library.
