Audio manufacturer OWI reported to us that its planning to launch a new wireless system designed specifically for instructional settings at the InfoComm 2008 show in Las Vegas in June.

The CRS-101 Infrared Wireless Classroom Audio System is a wall mounted, infrared receiver, amplifier, and mixer combo unit that supports two IR wireless microphones that are included with the system. It also ships with two ceiling speakers.

Some additional features include:

  • Independent volume controls for each device;
  • Support for three line-level inputs; and
  • Support for two additional (optional) ceiling- or surface-mounted speakers.

OWI told us that the system has been installed in one classroom in Southern California and that the company is also launching its BBE Audio Box 70V Sound Enhancer at InfoComm 2008, which is being held June 18-20. OWI is at booth C3061.

Further information about the CRS-101 can be found here.
