Sam Learning has added science content to its Web-based, High School Exit Exam prep curriculum. The company has also added "improvement lessons" to some objectives, with an audio component intended to give students an alternative way to learn core concepts.

The platform is designed to allow learners to move through the system in a way that fits their individual learning style. The new science content includes lessons in biology, chemistry, and physics, and has been aligned to national and state standards, including California, Florida, Georgia, Texas, and New York. Sam said it expects to add seven more states to the list some time this fall.

According to the company, early pilot programs in high schools throughout the country have met with positive preliminary results. Schools piloting the platform have used content in Algebra I and II, Geometry, and Trigonometry.

According to the company, the platform is currently in use by more than 1 million students in five countries. States using Sam include California, Wyoming, Florida, and New York.
