Event: HMH and History To Present Constitution Day Webinar for Schools

Houghton Mifflin Harcourt is teaming up with History this week to present a free, live "Constitution Day" Webinar designed specifically for K-12 schools. (Constitution Day is held on the anniversary of the signing of the United States Constitution, Sept. 17.)

The Webinar, "We the People Live," will be presented this Friday from the Newseum in Washington, DC Sept. 17 and will feature a lineup of speakers reading from primary texts. Those currently scheduled to speak include Rep. Donna Edwards (D-MD); William Bennett, former secretary of education for the United States Department of Education; Ed Henry, CNN's senior White House correspondent; and actor Michael Ealy.

The 45-minute program will also offer lesson plans and activities for educators. Those materials are available for download in a single PDF file here.
