Elmo Launches Mobile Document Camera

Elmo USA has launched a new mobile document visual presenter, the MO-1, a document camera designed for instruction both on the road and in the classroom.

The 1.3-pound MO-1 features a folding camera arm that allows the unit to be compacted into a portable form factor, measuring 8.89" (L) x 3.97" (W) x 1.1" (D). It can be powered by USB when in USB mode or through an AC adapter.

The camera uses a 5 megapixel CMOS sensor to deliver a capture resolution of 2,048 x 1,536. Output resolution is up to 1080i/30 or 720p/60 via HDMI or WXGA at 20 FPS or 720p/30 via analog RGB (mini D-sub 15-pin connector) or USB (USB mini, type B).

Other features include:

  • LED illumination;
  • Built-in microphone;
  • 10.1" x 13.4" shooting area;
  • Image rotation (180 degrees on a live image, increments of 90 degrees on a stored image);
  • 8x digital zoom;
  • Auto and manual focus;
  • Flicker correction;
  • Automatic and manual white balance;
  • Pause function;
  • Security slot; and
  • SD card slot.

AV inputs include HDMI and RGB (mini D-sub 15-pin).
