Partnership Aims at Comprehensive Learning and Assessment Management System

LearningStation and itslearning have partnered to integrate their assessment and learning management systems (LMS) solutions with hopes of offering an all-inclusive system for school districts.

The joint reseller and integrated product development partnership has been formed with the intent of addressing the perceived "need in the market for a comprehensive, district-level assessment solution that provides educators with the ability to conduct secure online and plain paper testing, track student achievement, improve teacher accountability, and more" according to a company release.

"It's a win-win for everyone," itslearning CEO Kevin Pawsey said of the partnership in a prepared statement. "Today more than ever, it is all about providing users with high-quality solutions that make their lives easier, while saving them time and precious resources. We are thrilled to announce this partnership which provides our customers with a one-stop-shop for assessment."

The LearningStation flagship product, Insight, "is a standards-aligned formative assessment and integrated instructional tool, designed to help educators evaluate and address individual student learning needs," according to the company Web site. Insight provides an online environment for educators to create, deliver, and assess standards-based formative practice tests using custom, district-provided, or state-released practice questions in addition to drawing from preloaded standards-aligned test questions for language arts, math, and science.

The itslearning LMS platform includes tools such as teacher web pages, project pages, digital tests, online discussion forums, blogs, and video recorders, according to the company Web site, and is designed to help engage students while building necessary skills.

"It is the goal of both our companies to provide our users with the best possible solution, because most LMS systems do not have the ability to administer tests, or track student achievement, it made a lot of sense to offer our customers this joint solution," LearningStation CEO Jim Kirchner said in a release. "We have already started to receive extremely positive feedback from our users with regard to our comprehensive, combined platform."
