SimpleK12 Offers Free Online PD Event on Differentiated Instruction

Online professional development provider Simple K12 will host a free online event designed to help teachers differentiate instruction on September 2.

Focused on teachers, but open to the public, the event is called Transform your Teaching with Differentiated Instruction and will consist of six back-to-back webinars. Topics will include:

  • Personalized learning and differentiated instruction;
  • Using QR codes;
  • Flipping your classroom with Khan Academy;
  • Using screencasts and audio for differentiation;
  • Universal Design for Learning, special needs classrooms and iPad apps; and
  • Getting the most from the teacher learning community.

"Experienced educators will present favorite tips, tricks and strategies for differentiated learning in the classroom," according to a news release. "Information on the best apps and web tools will be covered, and attendees will receive an easy-to-follow guide for creating screencasts and QR codes for differentiated learning."
