Frontline Tech Launches Low-Cost Collection of Learning, Professional Development Resources
A new digital platform with Common Core-aligned
resources and professional development material has
been launched by Frontline
Technologies. The company said its Teachwise
Inspire
is a low-cost alternative that will provide educators with access to
thousands
of downloadable resources along with teacher reviews and a library of
professional development courses.
Frontline Technologies developed the platform in
conjunction
with Lesson Planet,
which has been curating open educational resources for 15
years. Each piece of content on Teachwise Inspire undergoes Lesson
Planet's
credentialed-teacher review process and is given its seal of approval
before it
is included on the platform. Likewise, teachers who use the content on
the
platform also have the opportunity to rate and review the content as
well.
The basic package of resources is available for $7.99
a month
and for a limited time teachers can review them during a seven-day free trial.
"Teachers are currently spending an average of $500
of their
own money on classroom supplies every year, and additional time outside
the
classroom looking for quality learning content," said Frontline
Technologies
Client Services Manager Mike Windsor. "We developed Teachwise Inspire to
be the
single source for the resources that teachers need."
Resources that are available include full-semester
lesson
plans, simple worksheets, an art gallery and professional development
videos
that cover a wide range of topics relevant to teachers. Teachwise
Inspire also
includes resources for substitute teachers who are often asked to
prepare
lesson plans on short notice.
