Teq Adds On-Demand Instructional Support to PD Platform
Teq has updated its online professional development platform with "Instructional Support
Now," a new feature that allows teachers to connect with the company's PD team instantly via video chat, along with other upgrades.
"It's like having a technology coach on demand," said Barbara Weiner, former director and manager of technology at the
New York City Department of Education, in a prepared statement. "Being able to
connect to an instructor anytime is critical for the long-term success of a district's technology plan. Teachers are always asking for that
continuous classroom support. Teq gets it right, making one of their PD specialists available to teachers when they need them."
Other updates include:
- New online PD classes such as Microsoft 365 and Google Apps for Education;
- District administrative features, such as the ability to create PD playlists; and
- Improved sections for PD planning and online discussions.
"Teq Online PD provided our teachers with the ability to improve their teaching skills, increase the use of technology and create resources
for the students," said Michael Coppotelli, associate superintendent of schools for the
Archdiocese of New York, in a prepared statement. "The key to Teq online PD is its simplicity — allowing teachers to create professional
learning communities and giving principals the ability to align PD with instructional technology goals."
