STEM Contest to Award $20,000 in Drone Gear

PCS Edventures is hosting a STEM-focused video contest that will award nearly $20,000 in drone gear to five students and their schools.

The contest calls on participants to create a 60- to 90-second video on the topic of how drones can be used for good, spotlighting one specific application of the technology.

Prizes will be awarded both to students and to their schools. For students, the grand prize includes a Kodak Riot Sport Drone, plus software and training licenses, a transmitter, goggles and other gear. Prizes for classrooms include drone kits, controllers, goggles, software, training and equipment.

Aside from PCS Edventures, sponsors include Kodak, Fatshark and FrSky Electronic.

Entries are due by Jan. 5 at 10 a.m. Public voting takes place through Feb. 3. Finalist judging ends Feb. 8. Winners will be announced in early March. An entry form and links to rules, videos and other information can be found at contest.edventures.com.
