Grant Spotlight: $500 for Classroom Supplies, Materials and Equipment

The application window is now open for the 2022 Association of American Educators Foundation Classroom Grant. The program will award multiple $500 grant to classroom educators to be used for supplies, software, lab materials, AV equipment, books and other materials.

According to the AAE, the grant is highly competitive, and only "a fraction of those who apply" will receive funding.

The grant program is open to all full-time educators who have not received funding from AAE within the last two years. AAE members have an advantage in the determination of awards, but membership is not a requirement. (Membership is $198 annually, or $25 annually for student teachers.)

The deadline for applications is March 1. An application and further details about the grant can be found at aaeteachers.org.

AAE is also offering $500 scholarships for educators to cover training and other expenses related to professional development. The deadline for those scholarships is also March1. Details can be found on AAE's scholarship application page.
