Project Tomorrow, edWeb to Host Congressional Briefing on 20 Years of Research on Oct. 26

Project Tomorrow will mark the 20th year of its Speak Up Research Initiative and present its cumulative findings “From CDs to AI” during the nonprofit’s annual Congressional Briefing at noon ET on Thursday, Oct. 26, and K–12 administrators, educators, and policymakers may attend virtually at no cost.

The two-hour briefing will be presented both in person and virtually via edWeb, whose continuing education certificates are accepted for professional development credits in 44 states.

The 2023 Speak Up Congressional Briefing will provide “a unique opportunity to share insights on 20 years of change in education technology with participation by a wide audience of K–12 education stakeholders,” Project Tomorrow said. “The research data comes to life with a panel of high school and middle school students from around the country who respond to the findings and provide their own recommendations for improving American education.”

Project Tomorrow CEO Julie Evans will lead the briefing. She is the founder of the Speak Up Research Project, which annually collects and reports on the views of 400,000 K–12 students, parents, and educators on key education issues.
