SchoolStatus Acquires SchoolNow

Following the recent launch of its new student success platform, SchoolStatus announced it has acquired school-home communications K–12 platform SchoolNow, in its entirety, to help schools engage families and communities in student success.

The SchoolNow platform will integrate with SchoolStatus' student success platform, the company said. The new platform features "ADA-compliant websites, mobile apps, social media, text, voice, and e-mail [in] an all-in-one system created to broaden and deepen the school experience with families," SchoolStatus said.

Within the SchoolNow platform, schools and districts can create and update their own accessible and SEO-friendly websites with messaging, branding, social media, and other communications to connect family and staff, the company said. CMS and website tools, along with tech support, make website launching easy for schools.

SchoolNow's operations, technology, employee teams, and clients will all become part of SchoolStatus, and current SchoolNow users will continue to have access to all the products and services they have now.

"SchoolNow is an excellent addition to our recently launched student success platform as both companies share the common goal of solving schools' biggest challenges in communication and making it easier for schools to connect and engage with families," said Russ Davis, CEO and founder of SchoolStatus, adding that the acquisition aims to help improve "student achievement and attendance — delivering another piece of the puzzle."
