New Releases...Management Software Allows Teachers to Facilitate Seamless Transitions

CrossTec Corp. has announced the release of NetOp School v2.0, a management tool that puts teachers center stage in networked classrooms or Internet-based virtual classrooms. This classroom management software developed by Danware Data A/S facilitates seamless transitions, from teaching before groups to interactive one-on-one instruction. With v2.0, students can log onto a virtual classroom via an Intranet or Internet server from anywhere. Other new features include an audio chat, enhanced mapping and viewing of classroom layouts, teacher-friendly automation for distributing and collecting assignments and tests, and simultaneous thumbnail views of all student screens.

Easy-to-use class-wide application launches and calls to attention, as well as features like a drag-and-drop file manager, directory cloning, data synchronization, crash recovery, and delta-file transfers that copy only the most recent file changes are also new to the updated version. With NetOp School, a teacher can broadcast his or her screen or the screen of another student to participants, and the instructor can watch students as they work on their computers. Educators may carry on bi-directional text or audio conversations and lectures, or remote control a student for one-on-one instruction while using the product.
