Academic Systems Offers Colleges Interactive Courseware

Academic Systems, a division of Lightspan Inc., is adding next-generation CD-based textbooks from Thinkwell (www.thinkwell.com) to its suite of products for colleges and universities. The company expects to distribute CD-based courseware developed by Thinkwell to two-year college campus bookstores nationwide. Thinkwell publishes college textbooks on CD-ROM and the Web. The courseware includes interactive lectures and materials covering mathematics, science, social sciences and humanities. Thinkwell’s interactive CD lectures are supplemented by Web-based lessons, illustrated notes, interactive discussions and course management features.
