FYI ... Rainforest Alliance Learning Site

The Rainforest Alliance Learning Site: Connecting Kids to Conservation is the newest addition to the environmental group's Web site (www.rainforest-alliance.org/programs/education). The learning site contains Web-based curriculum that teaches K-6 students science principles related to environmental issues. The curriculum presents information on forests, wildlife and local communities, giving students a global perspective on the importance of protecting natural resources. The site also offers complete lesson plans, presentations and background information on species and projects, as well as a weekly e-mail newsletter full of curriculum ideas and classroom success stories for teachers.
