DoE’s Patrick Named President, CEO of NACOL

The North American Councilfor Online Learning(NACOL; www.nacol.org), aninternational nonprofit focusedon enhancing and promoting K-12 eLearning, recently namedSusan D. Patrick, the USDepartment of Education’sdirector of educational technology,as its president and CEO.In her new position effective Sept.6, Patrick will be responsible forthe overall management ofNACOL’s programs,including itsVirtual School Symposium andOnline Learning Clearinghouse,and for implementing itsstrategic plans, such as developingprojects and collaboratingwith other educationalorganizations.
