5 Districts Adopt SchoolNet's Performance Management System

3/9/2007—SchoolNet, a developer of school performance management (SPM) systems, recently announced that five urban school districts have adopted its K-12 management solutions. The five districts will also be included in SchoolNet's National School Performance Network, where districts share practices and ideas at regional and national conferences.
"Philadelphia is excited to learn that more and more districts are supporting their teachers and administrators by providing them with immediate access to the data necessary to do their jobs best," said Gregory E. Thornton, CAO for the School District of Philadelphia, in a prepared statement. "It's great to see new districts embracing the technological revolution taking place in teaching and learning that has evidenced amazing results for us and we are thrilled to welcome them as new members to SchoolNet's National School Performance Network."
SchoolNet's SPM system is based on its Instruction Management solution and suite of Web-based software programs that allow district and school administration to access teacher instruction and student data and analysis reports.
Other features include:
- Benchmark testing;
- Standards-based curriculum and instructional management;
- Access to interactive course materials;
- Web-based communication and collaboration; and
- Centralized data integration and management.
The five new districts include Fulton Public Schools (Georgia), Harlandale Independent Schools (Texas), McKinney Independent Schools (Texas), Virginia Beach Public Schools (Virginia) and Wichita Public Schools (Kansas).
