Mitsubishi Launches Wireless, Short-Throw Projectors
The Presentation Products Division for Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America announced at InfoComm Wednesday a series of new products to be added to their line of digital projectors, including the XD500U-ST and the XD530U short-throw models.
The XD500U-ST is designed with space limitations in mind, delivering a 60-inch diagonal image with 33 inches of clearance from a screen or whiteboard. According to the company, the XGA-resolution (1,024 x 768) short-throw projector makes it easier for educators and presenters to address their audience without creating distracting shadows.
The company's XD530U is a wireless projector designed for educators and mobile presenters. The XGA projector provides 3,000 lumens of brightness, a center-lens design, and an instant shutdown feature.
Both projector models have a six-segment color wheel, as well as Color Enhancer2 with dynamic lamp output that automatically adjusts lamp power. In addition, both models include separate audio inputs for computer and video, dual computer inputs, monitor loopthrough, RS-232 for remote projector management, password protection, and an anti-theft security bar. The XD500U-ST ($1,299) and XD530U ($4,995) will be available for purchase this month.
