SAS Adds New Features to Curriculum Pathways, Focuses on Core Skills
##AUTHORSPLIT##<--->
Analytics software and services provider SAS has announced new features for its SAS Curriculum Pathways platform, putting more of an emphasis on the skills necessary for students to excel in core classes such as math, science, English, social studies, and Spanish.
According to the company, enhancements to the Web-based platform include new simulations for introductory math courses, additions to multimedia resources, and brief, audio-based tutorials. The assets--referred to by SAS as "InterActivities"--are aligned with state standards, and have been designed to help students in grades 8 through 12 develop core skills through technology-rich lessons. Additionally, some of the assets are paired with online quizzes that help test student's comprehension after the lessons have been completed.
"The enhancements to the new edition of SAS Curriculum Pathways focus on skills vital to success in core classes. All new materials are designed to engage learners who sometimes struggle with these fundamentals," said Bruce Friend, Director of SAS Curriculum Pathways, in a prepared statement.
According to SAS, Curriculum Pathways consists of more than 200 InterActivities, as well as over 850 "ready-to-use" lessons, and is being used by students and teachers in more than 30 states around the country.
