				CDW-G and Discovery Education have announced the winners in their 2009 Win a Wireless Lab Sweepstakes.
		Winners were selected from  702,000 entries, nearly quadruple last year's response, according to the company. Winning schools included Churchville Elementary in Virginia; Millbridge Elementary in North Carolina; Huntingdon Area  High School in Pennsylvania; Clear Lake Elementary in Michigan; and Tyler Elementary in Texas.
		"We want to create a learning community that maximizes student achievement and promotes excellence," said Sue Hannant, principal of Clear Lake Elementary, in a prepared statement. "This lab will give both teachers and students the opportunity to use technology daily and explore new ways to learn, with the end goal of graduating students who are prepared for ever-changing global opportunities."
		Through the  Win a Wireless Lab sweepstakes, each will receive classroom technologies and professional development to help teachers integrate technology in the classroom. Total prizes were valued at $45,000 per school in technology and training grants, which  included:
		  - A $5,000 Discovery Education digital media grant;
- 20 notebook or tablet computers  (HP, Lenovo, or Toshiba);
- One  projector  (Epson or NEC);
- One document camera  (AVerMedia);
- One  printer  (Epson or HP); 
- One  camcorder  (Sony); 
- One interactive whiteboard  (Promethean or PolyVision);
- 20 student response devices  (Promethean or PolyVision);
- Three wireless access points  (D-Link, Linksys, or Netgear); and
- A Bretford mobile cart.
In addition to the grand prizes, the companies also awarded Epson or NEC projectors to 10 first-place winners, Acer or Sony laptops to 10 second-place winners, and Canon camcorders to five third-place winners.
		CDW-G and Discovery Education are also providing installation and professional development services for the winning schools.
