'Classroom Reimagined' Contest To Award $150,000 in Software Licenses

Education technology provider eInstruction has opened a new video contest that will grant $150,000 in Insight 360 software licenses to winning schools.

The contest, called "Classroom Reimagined," calls on educators to submit short videos demonstrating best practices in the use of Insight 360. (Educators who do not currently have an Insight 360 license Insight 360 can download a 30-day trial version to participate in the contest.) Insight 360 is a classroom instruction platform designed to integrate a range of classroom technologies, including clickers, whiteboards, tablets, and smart phones. It comprises desktop software (Windows and Mac OS X), mobile apps for teachers and students (iOS), and Web-based tools. It's available in premium and standard editions; the premium edition includes support for the student app for iPad, which offers a greater range of question types.

Three winners will be selected. Prizes include:

  • First place: 40 Insight 360 Premium Edition licenses and one year of Web-based access;
  • Second place: 20 Insight 360 Premium Edition licenses;
  • Third place: 10 Insight 360 Premium Edition licenses.

eInstruction indicated the combined prize package is valued at $150,000.

The Classroom Reimagined contest is open now through May 17. Teachers from the United States and Canada (excluding Quebec) are eligible to enter. Winners will be announced at the end of May. Complete details can be found on eInstruction's Classroom Reimagined portal.
