Minnesota Tech Collaborative Adopts Platform To Provide PD to 49 Districts

TIES, a Minnesota education technology collaborative, has teamed with a private partner to create a teacher professional development program for its 49 member districts.

The organization has tapped BloomBoard to provide a technology platform to access TIES-produced webinars and courses, as well as material from Whitewater Learning and other educational publishers.

The curated and managed resources in the system will be searchable by district or school goals, grade level, topic and more. "It will also enable school and district administrators to understand how their professional learning investment is impacting teacher growth and student achievement," according to a news release.

"This is a powerful partnership, combining in-depth training resources and a software interface that allows simplified, intuitive access," said Benjamin Silberglitt, TIES' director of software applications, in a prepared statement. "This comprehensive resource library will provide a seamless process for distributing content to teachers and administrators across the state of Minnesota. For our member-owner districts, it also provides an online space for collaboration and access to TIES' and each other's online professional development content."
