Angel LMS Integrates with Horizon Wimba

##AUTHORSPLIT##<--->

2/21/2007—Angel Learning has released enhancements to its Angel Learning Management Suite (LMS), enabling it to integrate with Horizon Wimba's Live Classroom and Wimba Voice Boards.

Angel LMS is a suite of teaching and learning tools that includes a wide range of capabilities, from course management and podcasting to assessments and learning outcomes management. The update allows Angel LMS to work "seamlessly" with Horizon Wimba's classroom products, according to Angel Learning.

New integrated functionality includes the ability to:

  • Access Horizon Wimba collaborative tools within the Angel LMS environment without adding new logins or passwords;
  • Manage and configure settings within Angel's interface;
  • Add meeting announcements and reminders directly to Angel calendars;
  • Add content;
  • View poll results and tracking information;
  • Access archives from within Angel.

"Horizon Wimba provides a high quality collaborative environment that is quite popular with Angel users," said Christopher Clapp, president and CEO, Angel Learning, in a prepared statement. "Integrating these market leading technologies with Angel provides our customers simple access to extremely powerful tools and a seamless learning experience."
