Nevada School District To Deploy Assessment System

##AUTHORSPLIT##<--->

In search of a formative assessment system for its 65,000 students, Nevada's Washoe County School District landed on the Edusoft Assessment Management System from Chicago-based Riverside Publishing.

The district-wide system will include practical assessment features and tools to improve student achievement.

To round out the system, Washoe will also implement all four Edusoft system modules for state analysis, benchmarking, teacher tools and curriculum management. Washoe also opted for Riverside's Assess2Know item banks for reading, math and science, and the Edusoft online test development tools, which let teachers conduct tests either online, or on paper.

Together, the item banks, test development tools and data analysis features let educators pinpoint student needs to help the district more accurately target its instruction.

The district also contracted to use a full-time Dedicated Account Manager from Riverside. The district, the second-largest in Nevada, joins more than 400 K-12 districts already using Riverside's assessment management system.
