Knovation Kicks Off Common Core Professional Learning Program Centered Around netTrekker
Knovation is launching a new Common Core-focused professional learning program centered around the netTrekker digital resource library.
netTrekker is an online search tool designed to allow students and educators to find educational media quickly. K-12 teachers can search for resources by language, multimedia type, format, subject, grade level, specific standards, and teacher or student recommendations. netTrekker materials include hundreds of thousands of resources available in digital format, including lesson plans, learning games, video, audio, assessments, and interactive whiteboard materials. netTrekker also includes role-based access and personalized homepages for each student and teacher, which lets the user add or subtract widgets with drag-and-drop functionality.
The professional learning program is designed to instruct teachers in the use of digital resources "to better address the new requirements and the depth and rigor of the Common Core State Standards," according to Knovation.
Sessions will be broken down by core subject area (English/language arts and mathematics) and grade level (Kâ5, 6â8, 9â12).
The program is being offered online and in person to districts that use netTrekker Through Dec. 31, two-hour online sessions for up to 10 participants will run $995. An onsite package offering full-day sessions will run $2,495 for 20 people, including travel. Custom packages are also available. Additional details can be found at knovationlearning.com.
